Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-14

Draft pending formal legal review. This is a current-state description of how StationScope operates. Contact maxwelllee12@gmail.com with questions.

The service

StationScope helps US-based renters identify neighborhoods aligned with their transit and lifestyle preferences across seven metros: New York, Chicago, Washington DC, San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. Recommendations are advisory — not financial advice and not real-estate listings.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter contracts in your jurisdiction.

Tandem pricing

Tandem mode requires a one-time $15 USD payment per group to unlock the multi-member recommendation flow. Solo mode is free. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Affiliate disclosure

Listing links in recommendations (currently Zillow and StreetEasy) may be affiliate links that pay StationScope a commission when clicked or used. This does not influence the recommendations themselves — we do not tilt rankings toward higher-commission partners.

No warranty

Recommendations are generated from US Census public data, rent estimates, and AI-assisted analysis. We cannot guarantee accuracy. Verify rents, commute times, and neighborhood specifics independently before signing a lease or making any housing decision.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StationScope is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us, if any.

Modifications

We may update these terms over time. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
